Overview & Description
Located in the center of Pula, the House of Istrian olive oil – Museum Olei Histriae tells the story of olive growing in Istria throughout history from Roman times to the present day.
Educational guided tasting of olive oil, you can learn the basics of sensory analysis and discover why Istrian olive oil was highly valued by the ancient Romans and how it was produced, what are the secrets of creating an extra virgin olive oil of premium quality. Also, you will find out how the olive oil market often offers olive oils of questionable quality.
Opening hours:
10:00 – 18:00 May to October
10:00 – 17:00 November to April, guided tours of the museum are only possible by appointment during the off-season.
